FAQs

What is EMDR and how does it help?

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing or EMDR helps the mind reprocess memories that may have negative events, feelings or emotions attached to them. Through reprocessing blocks are removed from your memory networks allowing the mind to heal itself and get access to positive memory networks.

Is EMDR only used for survivors of trauma?

EMDR can be used for many mental health challenges such as negative beliefs, anxiety, depression and more.

Are sessions held in person or via telehealth?

I typically recommend meeting in person in my office in Cranford. Telehealth can be used to supplement in person sessions as part of a hybrid plan. This can be reviewed and adjusted as needed to best meet a client’s needs.

Do you accept insurance?

I am an out of network provider with insurance. I can provide a Superbill for you to submit to your insurance or I use a biller named Advekit to mediate that process for clients. I can provide further details during our initial free consultation.

What are your fees?

The fee for 45 minute weekly sessions is $175.

The fee for the 60 minute intake is $225.

How do I get started?

The first step is to schedule your free 15 minute consultation to discuss your child’s needs, determine if I’m the right therapist for your child/family and if so, schedule an intake appointment.
